Not surprising, today’s Hopkins Raspberry Festival Marketplace Craft Fair was washed out today thanks to torrential rains thunderstorms and high winds. Unfortunately, I’d already set up my popup canopy tent before the serious weather hit. The wind hit Main Street hard and was blowing tents and canopies and tables all over the place. The result for me was a bent tent post, wet gear, and a foul mood as I drove home.
Apparently, many other vendors had a similar experience, because the organizers canceled the event soon after I’d left for home. You win some, you lose some. I apologize if you showed up or planned to show up and weren’t able to meet me and/or buy a book.
Bummer. But life goes on. The bright side? No one was injured.
