My summer season is now in full swing with two author gigs this week. One in Owatonna, the other in Northfield. Owatonna’s event is an “old friend”–Downtown Thursday. So relaxing and fun, it’s a great time to stroll Cedar Ave, do some shopping, some eating, some drinking, listen to some excellent music in Central Park, and connect or re-connect with old and new friends.
Riverwalk Market Fair is new for me this year. But I did my first one last Saturday and it was excellent. A nice location in downtown Northfield in Bridge Square. Not so big as to be intimidating, but big enough to have lots of farmers’ market-style shopping choices. Great music too! I was across from jazz woodwind player Mark Yannie, who must have played 30 of my top 50 jazz classics and standard favorites. Perfect background music for strolling the booths.
