Meet Me Saturday, Aug 26 at the Austin ArtWorks Festival

I’m excited to announce I will participate in my first arts festival in the beautiful, vibrant city of Austin, MN. It’s the Austin ArtWorks Festival, now in its sixth year and growing steadily. I’ll be speaking at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Sweet Reads Books. I’m one of nine local authors chosen to either give a presentation about our books and writing to the public or participate in a local authors panel over the course of the two-day festival. We’ll also be signing books for buyers after our respective presentations.

I’m honored to have been selected to participate since past presenters of their writing include William Kent Krueger, Julie Kramer, Grant Blackwood, and Amanda Hocking.

In addition to authors, local artists from all disciplines will be showing their work. They’ll  also give some demonstrations. The music lineup is virtually non-stop, so there will be lots of entertainment for festival-goers too.

The weather promises to be good, maybe a little rain, but most of the activities are either indoors or under tents. Food vendors will be plying their delicious wares, and there will be special activities for children on both days. The Skateboard Art class looks especially intriguing.

Sweet Reads Bookstore is easy to find. It’s across Main Street from the world-famous SPAM Museum, which is a cultural experience in its own right.

Mark your calendar for Sat., Aug. 26, 11:00 am to discuss books and writing, and then buy and have me sign a brand new copy of my debut novel, Castle Danger.
