LMBT book launch tour back in gear
After a week off to visit family in Colorado, I’m back in steamy Minnesota to promote Little Mountain, Big Trouble. Sales are off to a good start and the few reviews that have come in are quite positive. Thanks to those who posted reviews. I appreciate your effort.
This Saturday, Aug. 26 from 1:00- 3:00 pm I’ll be at the wonderful bookstore in Red Wing, Fair Trade Books. The owners are always supportive of local authors and give some of the best service a book buyer could want. Plus, if you’re a first-time visitor, they give you a free used book! I’d love to see you there if you live in the Mississippi River area SE of the Twin Cities. Wisconsinites are also welcome! 🙂
After Fair Trade Books, I’ll be at events in Owatonna for the next few weeks. If you live in the area but haven’t seen me already, make sure to attend one of these events.

Keep the online reviews coming!
Several people posted online reviews of the Matt Lanier thriller books in the past week. THANK YOU! The count is up to 185! Only 15 to go by the end of the year. And at this rate, I think you can help me get to 200 total reviews and ratings well before the end of 2023. It’s so easy and only takes a few minutes.
Not sure what to write or how to start? Here’s an example. A review I copied and pasted from Goodreads.com to give you an idea of what to say. HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT COPY THIS REVIEW WORD FOR WORD AND PASTE IT AS YOUR OWN! It’s just an example. Use your own words and tell the world what YOU liked or didn’t like about the book.
“Dangerous Straits is the 3rd book chronicling Matt Lanier’s quest to uncover the truth behind his father’s death and several other murders—some of which he has been framed for–while hiding from the law and running from some very dangerous adversaries. It’s a well-written page-turner, full of interesting characters and unique twists, that keeps you guessing until the end.” –from reviewer Deb. E.
Another review request
Sales of Little Mountain, Big Trouble have been fantastic in the first month! Thanks to all who bought the book. However, I haven’t seen any online reviews other than those my ARC readers posted on the first day of publication. I know dozens of you have read the book because many have told me in person or via email that they read and (usually) enjoyed the book. While I appreciate feedback to me personally, the best way to help my sales is to tell the world! That means posting a review online.
Same process as with the Matt Lanier thrillers. Just a paragraph or two of what you liked or didn’t like. With almost exactly five months left in the year, I’m setting a goal of 50 total reviews and ratings by year-end. That’s only TEN per month or 2-3 per week. I know you can do it. So please write and post an online review of Little Mountain, Big Trouble. Love it or hate it, I don’t mind. Just tell the world. It’s YOUR TURN to be the gatekeepers and influencers of literature. Thanks.
