Homeward Bound

Owatonna Events this week

I’ll be homeward bound in Owatonna for my next two stops in the Little Mountain, Big Trouble book launch tour. Coming up on Saturday, September 2, I’ll be at Little Professor Book Center on W. Park Square smack in the heart of downtown Owatonna. As a bonus, the Farmers’ Market will happen right across the street in Central Park for the duration. Make sure you come on down and get a good taste of what Owatonna’s all about.

Then on Thursday evening, September 7, I’ll have a booth set up on North Cedar for the now outrageously popular Downtown Thursday. After a slow start, partly thanks to COVID, the event has gotten so popular that the organizers added a September date along with the June, July, and August dates.

Downtown Thursday features dozens of vendors of various arts, crafts, and merchandise, music at two venues on each end of the party, lots of food trucks and open restaurants, and of course your favorite beverages to add to an already relaxing evening. The feel is that of a giant neighborhood block party and is a great place to meet old friends or make new acquaintances.

Keep the online reviews coming!

Sales of Little Mountain, Big Trouble have been fantastic in the first two months! Thanks to all who bought the book. However, I haven’t seen any online reviews other than those my ARC readers posted on the first day of publication. I know dozens of you have read the book because many have told me in person or via email that they read and (usually) enjoyed the book. While I appreciate feedback you personally give me, the best way to help my sales is to tell the world! That means posting a review online.

Just a paragraph or two of what you liked or didn’t like. I’m still sticking with a goal of 50 total reviews and ratings by year-end. That’s about 15 per month or 3-4 per week. I know you can do it. So please write and post an online review of Little Mountain, Big Trouble. Love the book or hate it, I don’t mind. Just tell the world. It’s YOUR TURN to be the gatekeepers and influencers of literature. Thanks.

The reviews/ratings count for my Matt Lanier thrillers is up to 187! Thanks to all who’ve posted reviews. Only 13 to go to beat the goal of 200! If you do post a review, make sure you post it on Goodreads.com in particular. I’ll be sure to see it there (Amazon too, but sometimes I forget to check Barnes & Noble).
