Another Successful Book Signing–Rosemount

Rosemount Country Faire

My book signing event at the Rosemount Country Faire last Saturday was fun and successful. I’m starting to get to know a few other authors who frequent these events, and the staff and volunteers of the Rosemount Area Arts Council put on excellent, well-managed events.

A highlight for me was meeting author Craig MacIntosh, who was at the table next to me. He’s a retired editorial cartoonist for the Minneapolis Star/Tribune (He originally worked at the Star, then with the two papers after they merged.). Craig also illustrated the syndicated comic strip “Sally Forth” for many years. What a nice guy! And a celebrity to me, a huge fan of editorial cartoons. We had some nice chats during the slow times.

Thank goodness the Steeple Center was air conditioned because it was steamy hot outside, rare for a mid-September day. I hopefully gained some new fans of Castle Danger and met a few readers who bought the book back in March at the Rosemount Book Festival and stopped by to tell me how much the enjoyed the read. Can’t do better than that. (Other than posting a short online review! hint)
