The Straight River Book Tour chugs ahead with its next stop slated for Buffalo Books & Coffee in beautiful downtown Buffalo MN. One week from today–Saturday, June 15, from 10:00 am until Noon. I’m excited to add a new bookstore to my list. I also hope to sell a lot of books. Regardless, I expect to meet some wonderful, interesting readers and make a solid professional connection with the owners and staff.
In review, I’m relieved to say my first PowerPoint presentation went very well at the Owatonna Public Library. WHEW We had a modest but respectable turnout. My presentation was well received. Enough so that the OPL director, Mark Blando, said he’d mention me to other area libraries who might be looking for an author-speaker. The bonus news is that I’ll be given that presentation at the Austin ArtWorks Festival in late August. I’ll get a “two-fer” out of all my hard work. 🙂
On the fun side, tonight I’ll be strolling down memory lane with a mini class reunion. A handful of my 4th grade elementary classmates, spouses, and family will get together in the Twin Cities. The highlight is that our 4th-grade teacher, Mrs. Hoepner, will be the “honored guest.” Should be a hoot.
I just added a new event and I’m negotiating with a bookstore for an appearance this fall. Remember to check my Events & Appearances page for the latest schedule updates.
See you next Saturday at Buffalo Books & Coffee. Stop in for a beverage, stay to buy some books.
Have you stocked up on your summer beach reads yet?
